Background Information
Education I completed my Early Childhood Degree in August 2003 and an Associate in General Studies. I am closing in on my Associate of Arts Degree at the Community College of Aurora. I have received a certificate for Head Teacher and for Director Qualification.
Credentials In 2006 I earned two Early Childhood Credentials: I earned a Level 3 Credential in Early Childhood Professions and a Level 1 Credential in School-Age Profession.
Experience I have been providing child care for a little over 14 years and have been licensed for 12 years. I have supervised children of all ages, ethnicities, and some with mental and/or physical challenges.
Resources I have a strong support base of other child care professionals both in family child care and center-based. Knowledge gained through college coursework has given me invaluable resources to aid in child development. I am active in the local, state and national family child care organizations. I am the Newsletter Editor of A CareGiver Network, a trainer for Parents as Teachers curriculum, and I am an Accreditation Observer for the National Association of Family Child Care.
