We're Like a Center for Learning and Like a Home for Nurturing
Hours
of Operation Rascal Roundup's regular hours of operation are
from 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. I am flexible to open
earlier with advance notice or to meet your work schedule. Tuition rates may be adjusted to
compensate for adjustment of the regular hours.
Credentials
Rascal Roundup is credentialed through the Colorado Department of
Human Services, and the Colorado Early Childhood Professional Credential Office.
I hold an "Experienced Provider" license which allows for eight full-time
children in care. Dawn Rhods has earned a Level III Early Childhood
Professional Credential and a Level III School-Age Professional Credential.
Safety
We have installed a variety of safety items throughout the home
including outlet covers, window cord fasteners, safety gates, fire alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, fire
extinguishers, window escapes, fences, and playground surfacing
material.
Handicap
Accessibility We have a wheelchair ramp coming into the front
door and another out the back door to the backyard and patio. The main floor bathroom has been modified with a
wider door, a wheelchair accessible sink and wall grab bars. My daycare
van is handicap accessible with grab bars on the back of each seat, and stair
steps I have a hydraulic wheelchair lift with wheelchair hold-down strap
systems complete with lap and shoulder seatbelts to secure 2 wheelchair
passengers.
Allergans
We have a non smoking home with no indoor pets. Our furnace has
an electrostatic air filter and a humidifier attached. A portable HEPA
filter is also available.
Outdoor
Area The outdoor play area contains a patio area
for Little Tykes cars, a large grassy area for group games, shade canopy and
trees, and a large
playground area with two climbing structures to help develop children's gross
motor skills.
Indoor
Area The indoor floor plan is arranged in a preschool
environment allowing the children choices. Infants & Toddlers have
their own climbing corner for large motor development. Shelves
and storage containers of toys are clearly marked to aid in making choices,
sight word recognition, raising self-esteem, and independence. Each child has their own cubby
for a sense of privacy.
